About us

BACKGROUND & HISTORY

Amore Organisation is a Zimbabwean non-profit making organization registered under Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare as PVO 64/20. Founded in 2016 from a purpose to stand in the gap with services advocating for the vulnerable children and mothers. Amore’s mission is to action charity work mainly to the vulnerable marginalised groups and create conducive spaces where decency and love is felt. We are based in Zimbabwe and we offer care, education, protection and psychosocial support to vulnerable children and women. The organization is one of Zimbabwean’s first centres for help especially for the vulnerable groups such as children, women and teen mothers. A strong establishment has been on pro-offering counselling & mental health awareness and wellbeing, legal assistance, capacity building in economic livelihood human and children rights.

Amore Organisation’s objectives focus on:

Psycho-social support

Educational assistance

Economic Empowerment for women & capacity building.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of some of the activities undertaken by Amore Organisation in the different programs i.e. Mental Health Awareness Campaigns , Education and Crediting groups, Vocational trainings, Capacity Building Trainings, Parenting support groups, Healthcare support, Advocacy for the vulnerable girls and women campaigns to mention a few.

Even as Zimbabwe is witnessing a birth in mental health development awareness, girl child support and women empowerment all these forgone areas of life have left the Zimbabwean people and society in critical need of assistance at all levels. The need for mental support and sustainable social and infrastructure development has never been greater and is crucial to ensure the survival of Zimbabwean urban and rural community.

Our Vision

We envision a day when mental health becomes a normal service to look into in Zimbabwe and every person’s dignity is protected, especially those affected by human and natural crises

Our Mission

To support people affected by human and natural crises in Zimbabwe through mental health and psychosocial support, educational assistance, clean water, food security, health care, protection for vulnerable girls and orphans, and sustainable socio-economic and agricultural initiatives that advance women’s economic empowerment, community resilience, peace-building, and effective governance.
